Frequently Asked Questions

For families struggling with serious illness, hospice care means that you are never alone. If you do not see the information you need here, you can call us with any question, 24 hours a day at 844.422.3648.

  • I feel all alone. Even in my support group, I feel like no one understands me. Will anyone ever understand me?

While grieving a loss is a common and natural experience, grief itself is unique and different for everyone. There is no way for anyone to understand exactly how you feel.  If you feel like your support group is not helping, try a loss-specific support group, which is a support group for people who have had a similar loss (for example, loss of a spouse or partner, loss of a child, loss to cancer, loss by suicide, etc.). You may also wish to try one-to-one counseling with a grief counselor.
