Volunteers are needed Friday, March 27, 2020 beginning at 8:00 am through Sunday, March 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
Volunteer Roles include:
Pre-camp activities beginning mid- February, including phone calls, setting up supplies, set-up/clean-up at camp, etc. Email for more information.
Meal delivery/servers. All Weekend
Behind-the-scenes organizers. All Weekend
Registration/check-in/loading on Friday and Drop off to parents on Sunday: Two volunteers and 1 nurse needed at at each TB site - Broward; Boynton Beach; CDF; Belle Glade and Juno locations. Friday morning and Sunday mid day; times vary at each location
Bus/Van chaperone: 1 Volunteer/Staff and 1 Nurse needed to ride each of the 3 buses as a "chaperone" to and from Camp to maintain order and transport camper medications. Friday and Sunday, time varies at each location
Camp Nurses: 2 Camp Nurses needed on site at Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation (in addition to above) for Friday 10:00am to 9:00pm ONLY. (Camp Nurses positions for Friday night to Sunday afternoon have been filled!) Friday 10:00 am to 9:00 pm ONLY
Coaching and encouraging campers by providing support, and helping to learn new skills Saturday
Cabin/tent leaders for entire weekend. Cabin/tent leaders stay overnight with campers in either cabin or tent as assigned; provide support, as well as ensuring safety and compliance with rules/expectations. Friday 8:00 am to Sunday 2:00 pm
Fishing assistants 12 pm - 5 pm. Saturday
Canoe and swimming safety assistants 12 pm - 5 pm. Saturday
Obstacle course assistants, cheerleaders, encouragers. Also need volunteers to join campers running obstacles as part of their team. All Weekend
Reptile encounter assistants 12 pm - 5 pm. Saturday
Team sports leaders to organize basketball, volleyball, kickball groups. Friday and Saturday afternoons
Arts & crafts and sunflower planting project leaders to organize activities 12:00pm - 5:00pm. Saturday
Camp photographer & videographer volunteers. All weekend
Multi-lingual volunteers: Spanish, Creole and Mandarin to assist campers. All Weekend
Campfire, s'mores assistants and dance party leaders. Saturday night
*Volunteers MUST be 16 years old or older.
*All Camp Good Grief Volunteers must complete a Volunteer application, interview and Level II Background Check as well as attend a Camp Volunteer Training scheduled on Saturday, March 7, 2020, 9 am - 11 am.
*All Volunteers age 16 and older involved in Fishing MUST obtain their Fishing License PRIOR to Camp Good Grief 2020. Visit myfwc.com/license for more information.

If you are scheduled to work during the time you would like to volunteer, please check with your supervisor regarding approval for a change in assignment from your scheduled hours and responsibilities. All other hours at camp are voluntary.
Trustbridge staff who have experienced the death of a loved one and are parenting grieving children ages 8-17 are encouraged to register for Camp Good Grief 2020. To complete an application for a grieving child to attend this camp, visit trustbridge.com/services/grief-support.
