With more than 70 attendees, the event has become a popular season staple within the polo community and beyond.

The exclusive event began with a sumptuous Champagne Brunch served field side on the exclusive Mallet Grille patio. Guests then were able to sit field side or in the stands to enjoy the opening match of the 112th US Open championship competition, between teams White Birch and Valiente. During the match, attendees were invited to participate in the champagne divot stomp, a polo match halftime tradition involving spectators making an experience out of “stomping” divots made on the field by the polo horses’ quick starts, stops and turns.

“Thanks to our event supporters and sponsors, we are able to fulfill our mission to provide exceptional, compassionate care for all who need it. Because of their generosity, the entire community is able to benefit from specialized hospice programs and services that far exceed what is covered by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance,” said Greg Leach, President of Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation, Hospice by the Sea Foundation and Hospice of Broward County Foundation. “We are very grateful for those who came today to Mimosas & Mallets in support our organization and the important work that we do.”
