"My counselor seemed to help in the beginning but now it feels like a waste of time. I still feel like I'm down, so should I quit therapy?"

Some people call the time it takes to go through the grieving process grief work.  And that’s because often times it can feel like work.  In order to move through the grieving process, it is essential to feel and sit with the bad feelings and sometimes these can even be brought out by therapy sessions.  It’s likely that you’ll feel better if you continue to work through your grief with your counselor.
