Applications are now available online for the Sea Star Program’s Camp Good Grief, taking place March 16-18, 2018, at the Everglades Youth Conservation Camp in Palm Beach County.
Held each year by Trustbridge, the program is designed for grieving children ages 8 to 17 from Palm Beach and Broward counties, who have lost a loved one. The free of charge, three-day/two-night camping experience includes outdoor activities, games and organized cooperative activities, music and art. Bus transportation to and from the camp will be provided for children living in both Palm Beach and Broward counties.
Under the guidance and support of Trustbridge Bereavement Center counselors, social workers and volunteers, campers enjoy support and friendship in a friendly, interactive environment, while having the opportunity to identify ways to cope with loss and change, improve self-esteem, learn to recognize and validate feelings, identify safe ways to express grief and recognize that having fun is still a part of life.
