Registration Opens for the Sea Star Program’s Camp Good Grief 2019 for Kids

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Applications are now available online for the Sea Star Program’s Camp Good Grief, taking place March 22-24, 2019, at the Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation in Tequesta.

Held each year by Trustbridge, the program is designed for children ages 8 to 17 from Palm Beach and Broward counties. At Camp Good Grief, kids have one thing in common–they all know what it is like to experience the death of a loved one. Camp Good Grief is a grief-focused camp that provides a safe and fun environment to share stories and engage in music, art, outdoor activities and games!

Under the guidance and support of Trustbridge Bereavement Center counselors, social workers and volunteers, campers enjoy support and friendship in a friendly, interactive environment, while having the opportunity to identify ways to cope with loss and change, improve self-esteem, learn to recognize and validate feelings, identify safe ways to express grief and recognize that having fun is still a part of life.

The free of charge, three-day/two-night camping experience includes transportation to and from the camp. Transportation will be provided for children living in both Palm Beach and Broward counties. Buses will pick up and drop off at the following Trustbridge locations: Fort Lauderdale; Boynton Beach; West Palm Beach; Juno Beach and Belle Glade.

Download the camp application, or call 888.499.8393. Space is limited, and applications should be submitted by March 8, 2019.
