Trustbridge Wins Aetna’s Workplace Wellness Award
- Recognized as a silver-level winner in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions -
West Palm Beach, Fla. – Trustbridge, the leading hospice provider in Palm Beach and Broward counties, today announced that it has been awarded a workplace wellness award by Aetna, based on innovative programs that significantly improved the well-being of the company’s 1,300 employees.
“It is a proven fact that workplaces with an established and thriving wellness program employ a healthier workforce, show lower absenteeism, higher employee satisfaction and fewer medical costs,” said Fred Watson, Trustbridge Chief Human Resources Officer. “As one of the leading healthcare employers in Palm Beach and Broward counties, we pride ourselves on making workplace wellness a priority. These benefits ensure that our most valuable resources, our employees, are healthy and happy. This allows us to provide the best care possible to our patients and their families.”
Employees at Trustbridge are offered a variety of health and wellness programs, including preventative health screenings, free visits to the company’s two Employee Health Nurse Practitioners, enrollment in a smoking cessation program, free flu shots and a discount on enrollment in the Weight Watchers program, just to name a few.
“We congratulate these companies for their commitment to helping employees live healthier lives,” said Archana Kansagra, Director of Wellness Product Strategy & Innovation. “Nowadays, it is essential to have robust workplace wellness strategies and programs in place to attract and retain a happy and healthy workforce.”
Aetna customers in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington D.C. that have more than 100 employees and have already established wellness programs in place were eligible for the awards. The winners were chosen based on combined scores from the Aetna Worksite Awards application and the Health and Well-being Best Practices Scorecard in Collaboration with Mercer© (HERO scorecard), an industry-leading tool that assesses organizational wellness programs.
